This means we may earn a commission when you choose to purchase gift cards or other products through links in our application. This commission comes from the merchant, not from you.
The price you pay is not affected by our affiliate relationship.
How Affiliate Links Work
When you use Occasion.fyi to send a gift card:
- You choose a merchant from our available options
- Clicking the link takes you to the merchant's website
- You complete the purchase directly with the merchant
- The merchant may pay us a small commission for referring you
What We Don't Do
- We don't share your personal data with merchants as part of affiliate tracking
- We don't increase prices — you pay the same price as going directly to the merchant
- We don't show affiliate links unless you explicitly choose to send a gift
- We don't let affiliate relationships influence which merchants we recommend
Affiliate Tracking
Affiliate links include standard referral parameters that tell the merchant the click came from Occasion.fyi. This tracking:
- Uses standard URL parameters (like UTM codes)
- Does not include your name, email, or other personal information
- Allows the merchant to credit Occasion.fyi for the referral
